Session 24–25 is on a break during summer vacations at The Indian Cambridge School, one of the best girls boarding schools of Dehradun. But that doesn’t mean we are on holiday as well, because if we were, then who would bring you all the second edition of activities that our students took part in?

Mother’s Day celebrations at The Indian Cambridge School, one of the best girls boarding schools of Dehradun!

We would like to kick-start this edition by wishing everyone a belated Happy Mother’s Day. The Indian Cambridge School celebrated this special day as an ode to the countless lessons mothers teach us, not just with words but with their actions and unconditional love.

We organised a Mother’s Day card-making activity at The Indian Cambridge School, where our young hearts poured into crafting heartfelt cards for their beloved moms. Designed to be both fun and meaningful, this engaging initiative provided a platform for students to express their profound love and gratitude in creative ways.

With assorted colourful papers, glitter, stickers, and more, every detail was carefully chosen to reflect their deep appreciation. With The ICS teachers guiding the little ones, creativity took centre stage, and each card was a unique and heartfelt tribute, instilling in children the enduring value of love and appreciation.

Introducing The Indian Cambridge School, one of the best girls boarding schools of Dehradun’s Art & Craft Club

Art is not just a medium of expression at The Indian Cambridge School’s Art & Craft Club, but a powerful tool that empowers our students to find their voice and develop their ability to express their thoughts and emotions confidently.

But that’s not all because, as with every other club in our school, the art and craft club is also fostering collaborative experiences, helping our girls build social skills that are crucial for their development. The club is a melting pot of creativity, with each student contributing to a vibrant team spirit and exploring the endless possibilities of colour, shape, and texture.

The Body Jigsaw Puzzle at The Indian Cambridge School, one of the best girls boarding schools of Dehradun

In a surprising twist, The Indian Cambridge School organised the body part jigsaw puzzle activity, and our young students explored the functions of different body parts. The session commenced with an informative video, which set the stage for a discussion and inquiry about the human body.

This was followed by two activities aimed at instilling this new-found knowledge in the children: “Roll the Dice” and “Musical Chairs,” featuring body parts. In the first game, students responded to instructions displayed on the dice, such as stomping feet or jumping up and down. In the second activity, they mimicked body parts indicated by pictures on the chairs when the music paused.

The young ones showcased their full understanding by answering questions and demonstrating their newfound knowledge. This interactive approach not only facilitated learning about body parts but also made the process enjoyable for the students.
