It’s the last week of 2023, and with The ICS all girls boarding school closed for winter vacations, it is time to bid farewell to this year in style. It’s time for a recap of December’s activities.

The Indian Cambridge School, an all girls boarding school in Dalanwala, Dehradun, had a very busy December. With 2023 coming to an end, it has been 33 years since we first started on this journey, and now we have cemented our legacy of being one of the best girls boarding schools in Dehradun and Uttarakhand. Green Day 2023!

Helping the children at The ICS, an all-girls boarding school, embody environmental consciousness is a crucial element of our teaching philosophy. With that in mind, our pre-primary students and dedicated teachers adorned themselves in enchanting shades of green, representing our harmonious bond with the environment.
The ICS’s Green Day stands as a symbol of not just colours but of education, as young minds discovered the significance of green objects around them. From colouring adventures to crafting animals with leaves, each class had its own unique journey. PG with peas in the pot, LKG with leafy animals, and UKG with the delightful caterpillar in the pot activity.

Holding crisp vegetables and fruits like capsicum, cucumber, guava, and green apple, our students were thrilled by nature’s vibrant palette. Green Day empowered them to explore the wonders of nature and unravel the beauty of the natural world in a delightful blend of fun and knowledge. Exploring the Animal Kingdom!

Continuing with the theme of connecting with nature, we took our girls out on an expedition! This time, we explored the wonders of Dehradun Zoo. Full of wild encounters and curious eyes, it was a day full of adventure and learning. At The ICS, an all-girls boarding school, we don’t consider outings such as the Zoo visit recreational but an integral part of our holistic curriculum. Why? The answer is simple: experiences such as these help children create special memories of friendship, knowledge, and bonding that they will remember and cherish throughout their lives.

The ICS fosters Togetherness and Festive Cheer

The Indian Cambridge School, an all girls boarding school, isn’t just an educational institution but a closely-knit family where every girl finds a place and support to blossom. Here, we share stories in classrooms, share values on the playground, and share triumphs in every activity, fostering a sense of community and mutual support. This was evident also in the year-end festivities, the magical Christmas celebration. The school stage echoed with joy as beautiful carols by students filled the air, followed by mesmerising dance performances that brought the season’s spirit to life. And then came the time for Santa’s delightful arrival. Sounds of laughter and joy could be heard as Santa Claus started distributing sweets. Hidden in these decorations and glitz, these celebrations had a deeper meaning, uniting us all in sisterhood and creating memories that will be cherished for years to come.

From the youngest ones in playgroup to the seniors in Class 12, we are more than classmates; we are Cambrites, bound by a sense of unity and shared experiences. Every aspect of our school, be it studies, cultural events, libraries, or sports, weaves a fabric of sisterhood, creating bonds that will last a lifetime.
