The ICS’s Book Fair 

At The Indian Cambridge School, one of the best girls boarding schools in Dehradun, we believe in the power of reading! During our recent Parent-Teacher meeting on October 8, 2024, we hosted a vibrant book fair, inviting students and their parents to explore a diverse range of books together.

In today’s digital age, where screens often take precedence over printed pages, fostering a love for reading is more crucial than ever. Our initiative aims to encourage families to engage with physical books, enhancing concentration, imagination, and language skills. By involving parents in this journey, we emphasize the importance of reading as a shared family activity, helping to instill a lifelong habit that positively impacts academic performance and critical thinking.

Learning about sustainability at The ICS

Building a greener tomorrow starts with the right knowledge today! This is why, on October 4th, our students took part in an enlightening and hands-on activity focused on waste management and the separation of biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste. The day kicked off with a powerful video presentation showing the impact of waste on our environment and the differences between what can decompose naturally and what harms our planet, like plastic and glass. 

After the video, students put their new knowledge into action by participating in a practical waste segregation exercise. Using color-coded bins, green for biodegradable waste and blue for non-biodegradable waste, they carefully sorted various items under the guidance of teachers. This activity not only educated them about the importance of responsible waste management but also empowered them to make more eco-conscious choices in their daily lives. At The Indian Cambridge School, we believe in nurturing environmentally responsible citizens, and today’s activity is just one step toward creating a sustainable future.

Excelling in Academics & Extracurriculars!

The Indian Cambridge School is immensely proud of our students for their outstanding achievements at the prestigious Uttarakhand SFA Championship. Their dedication, skill, and perseverance have brought great honor to the school, and we commend their remarkable performances across multiple categories.

1. Pragya Agrawal and Sehrish Nazir Bhat secured 2nd and 3rd positions in shooting🥈🥉, demonstrating exceptional focus and precision.
2. Sweeta Pradhan earned gold in Karate 🥇, exemplifying her strength and determination.
3. Nikki Bora achieved silver in Shot Put 🥈, showcasing her athletic excellence.
4. In badminton doubles, Sweeta Pradhan and Sweety Shaw won silver 🥈, while Saanvi Panigrahi and Kheta Patel earned bronze 🥉, highlighting their teamwork and dedication.

These achievements reflect the school’s commitment to fostering holistic development and excellence in both academics and sports. We are truly proud of our students’ success and look forward to their continued accomplishments.
