The Indian Cambridge School, a girls boarding school in Dehradun, is back with its monthly series of activity round-ups. In this series, we take the parents on a journey where we share the activities Cambrites have taken part in the previous months.

Poster Making at The ICS

On October 16, 2024, The Indian Cambridge School, one of the best girls boarding schools in Dehradun, in collaboration with THDC, hosted an inspiring Poster Making Competition for students of Grades 5 to 9. This event aimed to spark creativity, environmental awareness, and teamwork among young minds

Students unleashed their artistic skills, crafting impactful posters around themes like “Energy Saving is Environment Saving” and “Conserve Energy, Protect Environment.” Each creation was judged on originality, creativity, and the power of its message. Together with THDC, we’re proud to inspire eco-consciousness and nurture the next generation of changemakers.

A Day of Fun at the Zoo!

On October 19th, our young explorers from Play Group to Grade 1 set off on an exciting excursion to the Dehradun Zoo! The day was filled with wonder as they spotted leopards, ostriches, deer, and a variety of beautiful birds, including peacocks and parrots. From the majestic fish aquarium to the diverse wildlife, curiosity filled the air as students eagerly asked questions and learned about each species. This hands-on experience not only fostered teamwork but also sparked a deeper understanding of our natural world.

With smiles, laughter, and unforgettable memories, our students returned to school, excited to share their adventures and newfound knowledge with their peers. This trip is a shining example of The Indian Cambridge School’s dedication to holistic learning beyond the classroom!

An Excursion to Company Garden, Mussoorie!

On October 19, 2024, The Indian Cambridge School gave its students a day to remember—a lively excursion to Company Garden, Mussoorie, that captured the essence of school memories we’ll cherish forever. The adventure began as soon as the bus pulled away, filled with laughter, friendly chatter, and excitement that only grew with every winding turn up the hills. The students shared their awe at the sights—narrow paths leading to the beautiful Company Garden, where they were welcomed by lush green spaces, vibrant flower beds, and the soft, soothing sounds of fountains.

One of the highlights? A visit to the Wax Museum! Seeing lifelike figures of famous personalities up close made for a fun and unforgettable experience, adding to the memories they’ll hold onto from this special day. It was truly a day of nature, laughter, and new discoveries—a memory to treasure, an experience to relive with friends, and a beautiful chapter in our school journey.

Festive Craft Fiesta at The ICS

This festive season, The Indian Cambridge School celebrated creativity at Festive Craft Fiesta! Students transformed simple materials like glitter, paper, and their imaginations into stunning gift boxes filled with delightful surprises. With colorful papers and sparkling cutouts, kids crafted beautiful boxes adorned with intricate designs, all while sharing laughter and camaraderie. 

The atmosphere was alive with excitement, culminating in a breathtaking reveal of each unique creation! This engaging activity fostered teamwork and creativity and highlighted the joy of thoughtful gift-giving. We believe that even the simplest materials can become vessels of love, kindness, and joy!
