Handwriting Competition at The ICS

The Indian Cambridge School, a girls boarding school in Dehradun, proudly hosted a handwriting competition on 24 August 2024, in partnership with the International Handwriting Olympiad Organization, Pune, inspiring students to embrace the art of handwriting.

Students from various classes participated, showcasing their skills with creativity and precision. The event emphasized the value of good handwriting and nurtured fine motor skills, attention to detail, and a sense of achievement. In a world increasingly dominated by technology, this competition reminded us of the lasting significance of writing by hand.

Geometric Shapes Building Activity at The ICS

Creativity is a powerful tool in a child’s learning journey, as it helps them explore concepts more deeply and apply their imagination to everyday life. By engaging creatively, children grasp ideas more effectively, making learning both fun and meaningful.

At The Indian Cambridge School, our students from Classes 1st to 5th brought this to life through a fun and imaginative shape-building activity. Using paper cutouts, they crafted everything from huts to suns, learning how circles, squares, rectangles, and more are woven into our everyday lives.
