The map-making and colouring activity was an immersive journey, but not an ordinary one. Even though it involved drawing and colouring world maps, it was so much more than just coloured pencils and paper.

Under the sunny blue sky, our girls embarked on a visual representation of the world, adding a splash of colour to countries they dream of exploring one day. If you look even more closely, the map-making and colouring activity captivated the girls’ imaginations because it was a departure from the routine classroom sessions. It engaged them and helped them generate an interest in the subject matter while encouraging them to express their creativity.

But what’s even more interesting is that in this artistic endeavour, our girls were empowered to think critically about the shapes, sizes, and colours of different countries. They had to actively make decisions about how to represent the world, which involved analysis and creative  problem-solving.

They discussed and exchanged ideas and learned how to collaborate and work together towards achieving a common goal as every single one of them added their personal touches to their maps.
