On September 5, the wonderful teachers, the true heroes behind our students’s success stories, graced the hallowed school grounds, looking effortlessly chic and sporting their most radiant smiles.

The celebrations began with the customary ceremonial lamp lighting, a solemn moment that marked the presence of academic director Neelam Ma’am, and Gurpreet Ma’am, the principal at The  ICS, who were accompanied by the esteemed teaching staff. The warm glow of the lamp symbolised the enlightenment and knowledge that teachers impart to their students, lighting up their path towards a brighter future.

As a token of appreciation, the students invited the teaching staff one by one and presented them with a rose and a bar of chocolate—a small yet heartfelt gesture that spoke volumes about the deep appreciation they hold for their mentors. This entire exchange just set the tone for the rest of the day, filling the atmosphere with love and respect.

Dance Extravaganza with Just a Dash of Glamour

The celebration commenced with spectacular dance performances from the students, whose energy and enthusiasm were infectious, swaying the entire crowd with their rhythmic beats and graceful moves. Meanwhile, the student-led fashion show bedazzled as our girls confidently and elegantly strutted down the runway, flaunting their style and poise.

Games galore with lively teacher impersonations

Musical Chairs, Balloons, and Cup Relays added a playful twist to the celebrations, as our teachers showed their competitive spirit and camaraderie. But that’s not all, because up next was the student vs. teacher Antakshri challenge. Music filled the air as teams of students and teachers competed, showcasing their knowledge of songs old and new, bringing everyone together.

Then came the highlight of the event, a lighthearted and entertaining segment where students came onto the stage as teachers who are known across the school for their lively personalities. These impersonations were met with applause, and laughter echoed through the entire school premises once again, reinforcing the unique and cherished relationships that exist between the teachers and their pupils at The Indian Cambridge School, a girls boarding school that is encouraging its students to always “Endeavour to Excel.”

A sweet conclusion

Bringing an end to the day’s festivities was a cake-cutting ceremony, where the delicious cake was the perfect embodiment of the sweet bond between teachers and students. With everyone enjoying a slice of cake, the memories of Teachers’ Day 2023 will forever be etched in our hearts.
