Independence Day Celebrations at The ICS Junior Wing
On August 15, girls boarding school in Dehradun, The Indian Cambridge School (Junior Wing) celebrated Independence Day with a captivating blend of history and artistry. The event began with a touching portrayal of a child and grandfather, bridging generations and highlighting the sacrifices behind our freedom.
The celebration continued with heartfelt performances by students, each one a tribute to the valor and determination of our nation’s heroes. From soul-stirring songs to vibrant dances, the spirit of patriotism was palpable. The event underscored the importance of passing on this rich legacy to younger generations.
As the celebrations came to a close, our Academic Director, Neelam Ma’am, shared words of wisdom, inspiring all the students to uphold the values that make our nation great. The day concluded on a sweet note, with the distribution of sweets among the children by the school management, leaving everyone with hearts full of pride and gratitude.
The 8th ICYF Awards
The 8th ICYF Awards celebrates academic achievement and inspires students to strive for greater heights. The Ceremony for Minority Meritorious Students was held with great enthusiasm on Sunday, 11th August 2024, in the St. Joseph’s School. The event commenced with a warm welcome to the dignitaries, followed by the presentation of awards to the meritorious students.
This prestigious event recognized the outstanding academic achievements of students from minority communities, including our students, who were honored for their excellence. The ceremony was graced by Shri Ganesh Joshi, Cabinet Minister of the Government of Uttarakhand, as the Chief Guest. His insightful address highlighted the vital role of education in shaping the future of the youth and building an inclusive society.
Our Reverend Patron Dr. S. Farooq Sir, a respected figure and the Guest of Honour, also shared his thoughts, encouraging students to continue their pursuit of knowledge with dedication and resilience. The awardees, including those from Indian Cambridge School, were applauded for their hard work and commitment to academic excellence. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of this memorable occasion.
