Preparation of Success: A Motivational Meeting for Teachers

The Director of Academics at The Indian Cambridge School, the best girls boarding school in Dehradun, Neelam Ma’am, is known for her innovative ideas through the Dehradun Academic community. Take, for example, a motivational meeting that was aimed at equipping the teachers at The ICS for the upcoming school session.

The meeting kicked off with a calming meditation session, encouraging teachers to adopt the adaptability and calmness of the water, which was followed by an engaging animated presentation on teamwork and communication, highlighting how effective collaboration is the foundation for any organisation’s success.

She went on to share an inspirational story titled, “How a monkey can also become a monk?” The story showcased the importance of learning to let go of personal conflicts and work together harmoniously. After this came a discussion on the principles of the National Education Policy (NEP) and the National Curriculum Framework (NCF). These principles stressed the need to understand student behaviour, involve parents as key partners in education, and provide personalised support for students facing learning challenges.

Teachers then took part in professional development activities through another story called “The Jar of Life,” encouraging them to prioritise their time effectively to balance work and personal life commitments. The meeting left teachers feeling motivated and well-prepared for the new school session, equipping them with valuable insights and strategies that will guide their teaching journey.
